On Sunday, 3rd of June 2012, Iran's Supreme leader, a title Barack Obama would love to have, announced that if Israel attacked Iran the thunder would fall. Ayatollah Ali Khomeini stated that the rumor of Iran seeking nuclear weapons was based upon a lie. The most frightening of all statements made yesterday was not made by the threatening Supreme Leader. No, the most frightening statement was made by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton gave the insight of Obama's foreign policy stance by stating, "Oh, that's nothing new." Nothing new? No wonder Israel is as concerned as they are with allies regarding the denial of information already confirmed by the U.N. inspectors that Iran has enough material stockpiled to make 5 nuclear bombs. Nothing New? Iran's President stated earlier this year, if Iran wants nuclear weapons then it's Iran's right to have them.
Mrs.Clinton continued to state that she would judge Tehran in the upcoming nuclear talks in Russia. If I were Israel I would be very alarmed about these statements. With the release of information from the White House after talks with Israel earlier this year, I would conclude this administration is no friend to Israel. These statements which is nothing more than White House diplomacy are stall tactics to keep Israel on it's heels. Nothing New?
In the late hours of August 23rd, 1939 Russia and Germany signed the treaty of non-aggression. Each nation pledged to remain neutral in the event that either nation were attacked by a third party. This treaty remained in effect until the 22nd of June 1941, when Nazi German invaded the Soviet Union. While the rest of the world grew uneasy as Germany continued it's progression towards world domination, who suffered?
The Nation of Israel has been in this position before. Sadly, so has the United States. Obama will continue down the road as his Presidential counterpart did in 1939 by putting his head in the sand and Israel will suffer unless they take action now. There is nothing new under the sun. Israel defend yourself!
